One crest that grows with the child carries the whole brand of Pholwitaya Bilingual School, known as PBS. Verywhere created it for a Thai and English school whose tagline promises a path to global success. The full heraldic shield speaks for the institution, and the torch and open book at its centre are the part every younger version keeps. Grade emblems from Nursery to Secondary, four house badges and a bear mascot in uniform all descend from it, so one school can sound formal at the gate and warm in the classroom.
The strategy separates what must feel established from what must feel approachable. Heraldry handles the first: shield, lions and ribbon signal tradition, and Sati, Samadhi and Prajna, three Buddhist virtues, mindfulness, concentration and wisdom, sit across the top of the shield. Below the institution the grade marks simplify the crest to torch and book, and the Nursery mark goes furthest, seating a bear and a rabbit where the main crest has its lions. The four houses each lift one quadrant of the shield and take a colour of their own, and the mascot puts the same bear in school uniform, a character small children meet before they can read a crest. A navy and cream palette with gold and pale blue holds every level together, and a serif headline face paired with matched Thai and English text faces keeps the bilingual voice consistent from letterhead to social feed.
Applications test whether the crest survives a change of scale. Embroidered on a polo, flown on a flag or reduced to a single colour rubber stamp, the shield holds its silhouette, its detail carried in flat navy, gold and cream rather than fine line. Hierarchy follows the same logic: the full crest stays with the institution, on stationery and the flag, while the lighter grade emblems take the signage and billboards that speak to one age group at a time. House badges, already circular, translate directly into pins.
