What comes out of a can, plated, styled and lit in a colour world of its own, is the subject of the photography series Verywhere produced in 2025 for Chotiwat Manufacturing, known as CMC, a Thai seafood manufacturer whose lines include canned tuna and pet food. The pictures treat the company's output as food first and product second, staged on a set table rather than in the factory or on the label. The result gives an industrial manufacturer a visual language with the confidence of a food brand.
Processed protein is difficult to photograph well: tuna, pâté and jellied recipes are muted in tone and easily look flat. The direction answers this with saturated, single-colour grounds, cobalt, mustard and peach, and with tableware chosen to carry colour where the food cannot. Two registers run through the series. One is honest and clinical, white trays and plain white plates, so the cuts and formats can be judged plainly. The other is domestic and appetising, hands mixing, a diner mid-bite, shadow through leaves on a tabletop. Raw ingredients sit beside finished recipes in several frames, a quiet argument about what goes in. The packaging formats, shown unbranded on glass shelves, place the manufacturer's range in the same calm frame.
Everything was built in the studio with controlled tabletops and colour-matched props, so each frame could be styled to the same palette and the series holds together across two product lines. The pet food packshots were retouched as clean cutouts with a painted shadow, splitting each bowl between cooked recipe and raw ingredients so the sourcing story travels with the product wherever it is placed.
