Zab, the Isaan word for delicious, names Zab Bite, a modern Thai restaurant created by a new generation who wanted to share that experience with Vancouver. Verywhere took the identity from the word itself: a heavy, wide wordmark that lands with the same punch as the food, a palette drawn from chili, green papaya and peanut, and a sticker-like graphic language that keeps the tone playful and a little cheeky. The system extends to Zab Bite Thai Express, the quick-service offer, and follows the food out of the kitchen, onto the street and into the feed.

Approach

The central idea is elevation without dilution: Isaan food is bold, spicy and direct, and the identity carries that directness onto a global stage rather than softening it. The wordmark is set in an extended, heavy face so it reads at a glance from a street sign or a phone screen, and a stacked, extruded version gives it the physical, slightly loud presence of a market sign. Colour does the work of appetite: chili orange leads, supported by green papaya, peanut and a deep black that holds everything together. For Thai Express, a wok wrapped in flame became the mark, a nod to street cooking where high heat and a few moments are all it takes. Stickers, starbursts and stacked tags let the brand speak in short bursts across every surface.

Execution

The applications are the ones an order actually passes through. Packaging carries the flame and wordmark at large scale so the brand travels with every meal, while street signage and the staff cap make the shopfront recognisable before the menu is read. Posters and social posts reuse the same sticker language over kitchen photography, so the campaign layer and the identity read as one voice.
